Chair, CEO, Outside Director, and Operating Partner, Daniel Rothfeld has been successful in building enterprise value, accelerating revenue growth, and enhancing revenue platforms, taking two company’s public and two to private equity stage in as many business verticals. A documented track record of developing and executing innovative strategic initiative’s utilizing business processes leveraging collaboration and team cohesion, and a management style grounded in the pursuit of excellence with integrity.

Dan serves as the Managing Principal of PeerPoint Advisors, LLC, a strategic business and franchise advisory, and also chairs a private CEO advisory board for small and mid-cap companies in Washington, D.C. Prior, he served as Division President at U.S. Legal Support, Inc., a privately held $200 million global litigation support firm, positioning the company for a private equity transaction. He was also Managing Principal of TPI, LLC a private placement investment firm with a portfolio of holdings in franchising, restaurant development, entertainment, and commercial real estate. Dan led the firm with four other principals, and various third party passive investors.

Rothfeld’s career began at the law firm of Dickman, Green & Murphy, P.A. where he developed a reputation as an aggressive corporate litigator. Rothfeld was recruited to Spherion, Inc., a $2 billion franchisor of staffing and human capital services, as Vice President of Professional Staffing Services, Rothfeld strategically developed several independently branded high margin niche staffing businesses, producing an increase in division revenue to $320 million from $20 million; enhancing division contribution of corporate revenue to 27% from 4%, transforming overall corporate business mix and focus in five years, and leading to a successful IPO. 

Rothfeld was next recruited to Choice Hotels International, Inc, a twelve-brand global hotel franchisor with $3 billion in sales, and $600 million in revenue. Rapidly promoted through a variety of positions, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Revenue & Emerging Business; creating, implementing and managing the company’s global distribution strategy. Rothfeld developed and entered into a variety of franchise and consumer based marketing partnerships; increased the size of the global hotel system to 4,000 properties from 2,900; more than doubled annual franchise development activity to 550 executed agreements from 250; while aggressively managing corporate infrastructure.

Based on the success of taking Spherion and Choice into the public market, Rothfeld was next recruited to join Strategy, LLC, a global legal consulting firm, as President & CEO, to develop and execute a successful exit strategy for founding ownership. During his tenure, Rothfeld successfully led the organization through an aggressive growth and scaling exercise, enhancing market share in existing locations, and developing presence in new and previously untapped markets. His focus, to expand services, introducing and “green housing” successful new practice areas, opening and establishing new market channels and strategic alliances, roll-out and launch of a national marketing campaign, development of an executive management team, with a standout service culture. These actions produced: revenue of $35 million up from $6 million; CAGR of 40%; and and EBITDA margin of 30%. Rothfeld successfully sold the business at 5x’s EBITDA to a private equity firm while in a recession environment. 

Highly regarded for his Fortune 500 experience with public companies such as Spherion and Choice Hotels, and as entrepreneurial organizations like Strategy, and U.S. Legal Support, Rothfeld’s notable accomplishments include: brand differentiation, strategy development; process improvement; multi-unit franchise expansion; market & product development, re-invention; and organizational and executive development.

Rothfeld graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Juris Doctor degree, and previously from the University of Florida earning a Bachelors of Business Administration. Dan serves or has served on the Board of Directors for Nova Southeastern University Law School; The University of Florida; and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He has also served as a Guardian-Ad-Litem, advocating for neglected children. Dan has contributed to a variety national business publications and industry panels.  In his free time, Rothfeld enjoys competitive endurance cycling, tennis and traveling with his wife and three daughters.
